Peppermint chocolate cake truffles are the perfect dessert. Made with chocolate cake mix, chocolate frosting, crushed peppermint and coated in melted chocolate!

Ingredients
Chocolate cake mix prepared according to package directions

tablespoon
chocolate frosting
2
cups
chocolate chips
5
large candy canes
crushed
Instructions
Using a fork, crumble the entire cake.
Mix frosting and 2/3 of crushed candy canes into the crumbled cake (I use my hands) until dough is able to be formed into balls.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Chill for 1 hour.
Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth.
Roll each truffle in melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
Add crushed candy canes quickly before chocolate hardens.
Chill before serving.
Notes
You can use chocolate bark broken into pieces instead of chocolate chips if desired.
