Ready in just 30 minutes, this super easy Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta recipe is the perfect dinner that's made with tender rotini pasta, crispy bacon pieces, juicy chicken, and a creamy ranch-flavored cheese sauce.
Heat a large pot of water until boiling add the pasta and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Heat large skillet on medium high heat and add the diced bacon cook until crispy about 10 minutes. Remove to a paper towel to drain.
Reduce the heat to medium and remove all but 2 tablespoon of bacon grease and add the butter to melt. Add in the diced onion and cook 2-3 minutes just until soft. Add in the garlic and cook another minute.
Whisk in the flour and cook for a couple minutes. Add in the milk and whisk until smooth.
Bring to a low simmer, then reduce the heat to medium low and add in the cream cheese simmer until thickened.
Whisk in the ranch seasoning and whisk in ½ of the shredded cheese until smooth.
Add in the cooked pasta, diced chicken, bacon and the remaining shredded cheese. Let simmer 2-3 minutes to heat through and finish melting.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and red pepper flakes is desired.
Notes
Half and half is simply 1/2 heavy cream and 1/2 whole milk. Whole milk can be used if you prefer.I like to use Rotini but any pasta will work.
