Crockpot BBQ Chicken Thighsare made with a handful of ingredients and only require 5 minutes of prep work. Tender, juicy dark meat coated with a variety of spices and slathered in your favorite BBQ sauce.
In a small bowl mix all the spices together until combined.
Place the chicken thighs into the slow cooker and sprinkle the seasoning on both sides.
Brush 1 cup of the bbq sauce on top of the chicken thighs.
Cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 2 hours.
Preheat the broiler to high. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Brush the remaining bbq sauce on top.
Place the chicken thighs on the lined baking sheet and place under the broiler and broil 3-5 minutes. Keep an eye on it so it doesn’t burn.
Serve with mashed potatoes and a veggie of choice!
Notes
You can use chicken breasts just make sure they are on the thicker side so they don’t overcook.Broiling is optional but does add color and caramelization to the chicken.
