Add all ingredients to a saucepan over medium high heat.
Bring mixture just to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is fully dissolved and sauce has thickened.
Remove from heat and allow to fully cool. Adjust salt and pepper to taste before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5-7 days.
For a thinner sauce, add a few extra tablespoons of water.
