Perfect for St. Patrick's Day, this delicious Irish Guinness Bread is a hearty homemade bread made with real Irish beer. The end result is a delicious bread with a slight hiny of sweetness that's perfect to serve with all your favorite recipes!

112 ounce can or bottle of Guinness beer extra stout or regular
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Spray a 8x5 loaf pan with non stick cooking spray.
In a medium bowl mix the oats, flour, sugar,baking soda, baking powder, salt, until combined.
In a large bowl add the butter, vanilla, buttermilk, add beer and mix until combined (the beer will cause it to foam a bit)
Pour the dry mixture into the wet and stir until well combined.
Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle some extra rolled oats on top of the loaf.
Place loaf in the center of the oven and bake for 30 minutes. Reduce the heat to 400 degrees and bake another 30 minutes.
Remove from the over let cool and remove the loaf from the pan.
Slice and enjoy with butter.
Notes
Make your own buttermilk 1 cup of whole milk and add 1 tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice. let it sit for 2-3 minutes give it a stir and its ready to use.
