1 1/2poundscreamer potatoeshalved if they are large
1large onion cut into chunks
6clovesgarlic minced
1-2tablespoonsCreole seasoningCajun seasoning will also work
1pkgonion soup mix
8tablespoonsbuttercut into pieces
Instructions
Place the stew meat, potatoes, onions, garlic, soup mix, and Creole seasoning into the slow cooker, and give it a stir until everything is coated.
Add the pieces of butter on top, cover, and cook 7-8 hours on low or 4-5 hours on high. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve!
Notes
Yukon gold or red potatoes are good substitutes; just make sure they are cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces.
The steak and butter will produce a nice sauce, but if you want it to be thicker add 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water for the last hour of cooking time.
You can use a chuck roast diced up into bite-sized cubes.
