Hot Dog Chili Sauce is rich, meaty, and perfect for topping dogs, fries, or baked potatoes with. The best part is that it's made so easily in the slow cooker for easy serving!

Instructions
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat and add the olive oil and diced onions, Sauté for 2-3 minutes then add in the minced garlic and cook another 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add in the ground beef and water using a spoon break up the meat as it cooks. You want it as fine as possible.
Once the meat is browned drain off any extra liquid.
Add the ground beef to a slow cooker along with the tomato paste, ketchup, beef broth, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper and sugar if you adding it. Stir until combined and cook on low for 2-3 hours.
Serve over hot dogs, baked potatoes, or French fries!

Make sure to use lean ground beef to keep the grease at a minimum.Make a double batch and freeze it in an air-tight container for up to 3 months.Stovetop directions: After step 3, add the remaining ingredients to the skillet and simmer on low for 1 hour.Leftovers can be transferred to an airtight container once cooled and should be refrigerated for up to 4-5 days.Freeze for longer. Let it cool completely, then freeze in freezer safe airtight containers or freezer safe zip top bags for up to 3 months.
