Sausage Pasta Skillet is a fast and simple 30-minute dinner recipe featuring tender rotini pasta, juicy and flavorful sausage, and simple veggies, all coated in a cheesy, creamy tomato sauce.
Heat a 12 inch skillet on medium high heat add the butter, sausage, onion and green peppers and cook 5-6 minutes.
Add garlic and cook about 30 seconds just until fragrant.
Add in the chicken stock, canned tomatoes, green chilis and pasta. Bring to a boil and cook uncovered 15-18 minutes or until pasta is tender.
Reduce heat and stir in the heavy cream and shredded cheese until melted.
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve!
Notes
Any type of shortcut pasta will work here.Smoked sausage, kielbasa sausage, chicken or even hot sausages will all be delicious.Store leftovers for 3-4 days in the refrigerator or freeze in a freezer safe container for up to 3 months.
