Slow Cooker Root Beer Chicken Wings are so flavorful with tender, juicy chicken on the inside. The BBQ sauce and soda bring a unique flavor that really sets these wings apart from a variety of other flavors we typically enjoy.

BBQ sauce

Root beer or Dr Pepper

teaspoons
smoked paprika

garlic cloves minced
1/2
teaspoon
cayenne pepper

tablespoon
brown sugar
Instructions
Place chicken wings in slow cooker, season with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl mix together BBQ sauce, paprika, garlic and cayenne pepper. Mix and reserve 1/2 cup for later.
Pour all but 1/2 cup of sauce over wings, add in root beer.
Cook on high 2 hours or low for 3-4 hours.
Line a baking sheet with foil. Set oven to broil.
Place chicken wings on the baking sheet, brush with extra sauce and sprinkle a pinch of brown sugar over each wing.
Broil 5-8 minutes.
Notes
Root beer or Dr pepper works great.
Broiling the winmgs is optional but highly recommended to get that crispy char.
