So next time you need a hearty flavorful dinner why not whip this scrumptious chicken sandwich? Or if you want a set-it-and-forget-it meal my slow cooker bbq chicken sandwich is a family favorite.
Resting the chicken after dredging helps the coating set up.
When you pull your chicken from the hot oil place it on a wire cooling rack to let the grease drain. That way you won't get a soggy bottom.

I made this for my family last night and they loved it. I pounded out the chicken breast before I put them in the buttermilk. .

I have never baked this recipe, so I can't say for sure how crispy it would get.

This looks amazing! Will def be trying this sometime this week. Do you think it would work if I baked the chicken instead of frying it? Any ideas or tips? Thanks!
