Why this recipe works
These chocolate-coated Nutter Butters are made from just 4 simple ingredients. This easy Ghost Cookies recipe
is super simple to scale to feed more for a larger party or gathering. These cute cookies are always a hit at Halloween parties of years past.
These peanut butter cookies are a whole family favorite. They're the perfect Halloween party food too!
Ingredients needed

- Nutter butter cookies
- Candy melts: I used white chocolate, but you can use any white candy melts if needed.
- Candy eyeballs: these can be found near the cake baking supplies in most grocery stores or can be ordered from Amazon. These help bring the cute little ghost cookies to life.
- Mini Chocolate chips: the mouth of your easy Nutter Butter ghosts
How to Make Nutter Butter Cookies

- Step 1: Melt the white chocolate candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl using 30-second intervals. Stir the chocolate in between rounds. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper while the chocolate melts. Once it's melted, dip each cookie into the melted chocolate about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way down. Gently tap the excess chocolate on the side of the bowl and lay the little ghosts on the lined baking sheet.
- Step 2: Before the chocolate sets, add your eyeballs and chocolate chip mouth using miniature chocolate chips to the dipped cookies. Let the fun cookies set for a bit before enjoying!

Recipe Tips
- Instead of microwaving the white chocolate, you can use a double boiler to melt it. Always check out the directions on the back of your specific package of melting chocolate, almond bark, or candy coating pieces to ensure that you properly melt it.
- If you don't have candy eyes, you can use a piping bag to pipe eyes and a mouth on using black frosting or melted milk chocolate.
- Work quickly when you're dipping the cookies in the chocolate. If you waste too much time, the chocolate will start to firm up and it'll be harder to dip the rest of the cookies and then it'll start to harden before you get the eyes and mouth on.

Recipe Faq's
entirely with the melted chocolate
candies?
I prefer not to dip the entire cookie in the melted chocolate, but if you want to, you can. I would suggest that you use a fork to dip the cookies in the melted white candy coating. Otherwise, making these cute ghost cookies can get really messy, very quickly, and it's a lot easier to wipe off the excess chocolate off the cookies when you're holding it on the fork.
In place of the white chocolate candy melts, you can use white chocolate chips or white almond bark.
These adorable ghost cookies will keep for up to 5-6 days if stored properly at room temperature in an airtight container or in a bag with the excess air removed.
