- Step 1: Add oil and butter to the skillet and heat it up. Add diced onions and peppers and cook until soft.
- Step 2: Add sliced sausage and cook until lightly browned. Add garlic to the sausage and veggies and cook until fragrant.
- Step 3: Dump cooked rice, broccoli, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, and red pepper flakes into the pan and stir to combine. Cook for a few minutes until the whole thing is warm.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 small onion diced
- 1 cup red bell peppers sliced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 12 ounce pkg smoked sausage sliced (see notes)
- 4 cups cooked rice
- 2 cups frozen broccoli thawed cut into bite sized pieces
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ยฝ teaspoon black pepper
- ยผ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet on medium high heat and the onions and red peppers and cook until soft about 3 minutes.
- Add in the sliced sausage and cook until sausage starts to brown about 2-3 minutes, then add in the garlic and cook another 30 seconds.
- Reduce the heat to medium high heat and add in the cooked rice, broccoli, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and red pepper flakes and mix until combined. Cooke 5-6 minutes or until heated through.
- Turn off the heat and add in the shredded cheese and mix.
- Serve!
