Ingredients Needed
- Slider Rolls: Any kind of soft rolls will work fine, but Hawaiian sweet rolls are the best!
- Mayonnaise
- Italian Dressing: Brings out the classic Italian-inspired flavors of these Italian sandwich sliders.
- Meat: I used a combination of deli ham, pepperoni, and salami.
- Cheese: Provolone is a great option--the flavors go well together and provolone melts well.
- Veggies: Add some roasted red peppers and pepperoncini for more of that authentic Italian flavor.
- Italian Seasoning
How to Make Italian Sliders
- Step 1: In a small bowl, combine the mayo with the Italian dressing.
- Step 2: Slices the buns in half and place the bottom buns on a baking sheet. Spread the mayo mixture evenly over the bottom half of the buns.
- Step 3: Add a layer of ham.
- Step 4: Follow with a layer of pepperoni.
- Step 5: Finish with a layer of salami.
- Step 6: Finish with provolone cheese.
- Step 7: Add your veggies on top of the cheese.
- Step 8: Place the top buns back over top of the assembled sandwiches. Brush the top of the buns with a mixture of melted butter and Italian seasoning, then bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until sandwiches are toasty and cheese is melted.
Recipe Tips
- Banana peppers can be used instead of pepperoncini if you prefer.
- For other additions, use pickles, red onion, or even some chopped iceberg lettuce (add this after baking).
- Provolone is a great option, but you could also make these sliders with mozzarella cheese, pepper jack, or Parmesan cheese.
- If you have leftover sliders, allow them to cool and transfer to an airtight container. They should last a day or two in the fridge.
- Reheat your mini sandwiches in the oven or air fryer. Microwaving them will just make them soggy!

So good! It can be adapted if you want different meats but it’s so delicious! Made it several times this football season!

Thanks for the great review Brenda!:)

This is an excellent recipe! They turn out perfect every time! I prefer the "savory" butter Hawaiian rolls instead of the "sweet" ones because the sweet taste is not our preference. However, these are a great snack to have on hand and they re-heat easily in the microwave the next day!
