Ingredients Needed
- Bacon: Adding crispy bits of cooked bacon to this dip gives it a punch of extra savory flavor.
- Cream Cheese: Feel free to use reduced fat cream cheese for a slightly lighter result.
- Sour Cream: Gives the dip a mouthwatering tangy flavor.
- Mayonnaise
- Ranch Dressing Mix: This is an easy way to instantly pack lots of tasty flavor into your dip with very little effort.
- Shredded Cheese: I like to use colby jack cheese for this dip.
- Green Onions: Fresh green onions provide a pop of color and a little bit of grassy flavor.
- Pretzels
How to Make this Pretzel Dip
- Step 1: Chop the bacon and cook until crispy. Separate from any excess oil.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients for your ranch dip and mix well.
Recipe Tips
- Let the cream cheese come up to room temperature to make it easier to mix everything together.
- Instead of sour cream, you can use Greek yogurt.
- This pretzel dip can also be served with your favorite crackers, potato chips, or fresh veggies like celery, carrots, broccoli, or bell peppers. Soft pretzel bites are another fantastic option.
- Colby jack cheese is my preference for this dip, but you can use other kinds of cheese like pepper jack cheese, cheddar cheese, or mozzarella.
- You'll want to use real mayonnaise, not something like miracle whip or another kind of mayonnaise spread.
- Keep leftover dip in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days. I like to let it come up to room temperature before serving again, but it can be served cold as well.
- Give this dip a kick of heat and bold flavor with seasonings like cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
