Ingredients Needed

- Crescent Rolls: Pillsbury is a classic and reliable choice, but any kind of store bought crescent roll dough should work just fine.
- Filling: Buy a can of blueberry pie filling to cut down on prep time.
- Fresh Lemon Juice: You can use bottled lemon juice in a pinch, but fresh squeezed lemon juice will taste even better.
- Vanilla Extract: This gives the filling a nice warm vanilla flavor.
- Cream Cheese: Forms the base of the filling and gives the danishes their signature sweet and slightly tangy flavor.
- Powdered Sugar: For sweetness and a slightly thicker texture.
How to Make this Blueberry Crescent Roll Danish Recipe

- Step 1: In a large bowl, use a hand mixer (or an electric stand mixer) to beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla.
- Step 2: Instead of pulling the crescent roll dough into pieces, set it on a cutting board and slice into 12 equal discs.

- Step 3: Assemble the discs of dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make a dip in the center of the dough slices to make room for the filling.
- Step 4: Divide the cheesecake filling and then the blueberry pie filling among the dough. Bake at 350 for 15 to 17 minutes, then let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Recipe Tips

- Use your fingers or the back of a clean spoon to form the divots in the dough.
- You can also use biscuit dough, store-bought puff pastry dough, to make these blueberry danishes.
- For an even sweeter result, make a homemade vanilla glaze with milk, lemon juice, and powdered sugar and drizzle it over the danishes.
- Swap out the blueberry pie filling for another variety like peach pie filling or cherry pie filling to make a variety of danishes.
- This can also be made with blueberry jam or blueberry preserves if you prefer instead of the canned blueberry mixture.
- Let the cream cheese come up to room temperature to make it easier to mix the filling.
- If you prefer, you can use fresh blueberries and make your own blueberry filling.
