- Step 4: Meanwhile, in another bowl, combine milk with flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

- Step 6: Add the banana mixture on top and bake for 40-45 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown.

Recipe Tips
- This recipe is great to serve with a scoop of ice cream and a drizzle of my Bourbon Caramel Sauce Recipe.
- Overripe bananas are recommended for the best flavor, but if they're too ripe, your cobbler may end up runny or liquidy.
- Let the cobbler cool slightly after baking, but it's typically best served warm.
- If you have leftover banana cobbler, transfer to an airtight container or cover the skillet with plastic wrap or aluminum foil. The cobbler lasts 3 to 4 days in the fridge.
- This cobbler reheats well--just pop it back in the oven at 350 until it's warmed through.

Recipe FAQ's
You want to use ripe bananas for best flavor, but if the bananas are TOO ripe they may add a lot of liquid to the mixture. Underbaking can also lead to a soggier cobbler, so be sure to fully bake it.
You can! Be sure to fully thaw them beforehand and drain off any potential excess liquid. I use them all the time for baking, like in this Banana Cake with Brown Butter Frosting!

Instructions
- Cut the banana into 1/2 inch slices and set aside.
- In a large bowl, add the bananas, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg and stir until the bananas are well coated. Set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees place the butter into the skillet or baking dish and put the dish in the oven while its preheating to melt the butter.
- While the butter is melting get a large bowl and add the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt and whisk until combined.
- Once the butter is melted remove the skillet/baking dish from the oven and pour the batter into the pan ( the butter will come over the edges of the batter and that's ok)

- Bake for 40-45 minutes. Let rest 10 minutes and serve with ice cream, whipped cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
Notes
- You want to have extra ripe bananas for optimal sweetness.
- If you like a little texture, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts on top before baking.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
