Bacon Jalapeno Mummies are the perfect Halloween party appetizer! Your guests will go crazy for them!

These bacon jalapeno mummies are stuffed with cream cheese, pepper jack cheese, and pieces of smoky bacon. Wrapped in strips of flaky, buttery crescent rolls. Another popular Halloween finger food recipe is my Halloween Mummy Stromboli and my Mummy Hotdogs.

bacon jalapeno mummies being picked upThese bacon jalapeno mummies will be a hit at your Halloween party. They're almost too cute to eat like my Frankenstein Rice Krispie Treats but trust me they are delicious. This combo is definitely something to drool over. Every bite is packed with creamy melted cheese and smoky bacon.

How to make Bacon Jalapeno Mummies!

    • In a small bowl mix cream cheese, pepper jack cheese, and bacon until well combined.
    • Using a paring knife, slice each jalapeno in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
    • Fill the jalapenos with the cheese mixture.
    • Lay the crescents out on a cutting board. Pinch two crescents together to form a rectangle.
    • Using a knife or pizza cutter cut each rectangle into 10 thin slices.
    • Wrap 2-3 strips around each jalapeno. Make sure to leave space for the eyes.
    • Bake for 12-14 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes and then place candy eyes on.

My husband seriously went crazy for these babies. He said it was all his favorites combined into one! lol

Yes they should be fine just make sure you cover them in an airtight container. Or you could prepare them and wrap them in the dough right before baking.

Can you make these the night before with them wrapped in dough?

Where do you get eye candy?

If using large jalapenos they still have a little firmness. Just test one with a fork and see if you want more cooking time and add 1-2 minutes until the desired softness.

Will the jalapeño come out soft or crunchy?

I would prep and assemble them and bake them at the party. If you can't do that they should travel fine, but you'll want to keep them warm.

I want to make these ahead of time for a party. Will they travel well and still be tasty?

This appetizer is best served right out of the oven. You could make the filling etc and have everything separate then assemble and bake. Hope this helps Lauren 🙂

How are these refrigerated? I want to make for my work party tomorrow but will need to make tonight and refrigerate.
