This Country Style Beef Ribs and Gravy dinner has super tender beef, smothered in a rich gravy. It only requires a few ingredients and 10 minutes of prep from you.

I'm all about fast and easy dinner recipes. These ribs are super fast to prep and very easy. I'm talking dump it all in the Dutch Oven, pop it on the stove, and call it a day type of easy.
Just like my Oven Baked Ribs, these tender Country Style Beef Ribs are full of so much flavor and go with a ton of different side dishes. Some of my favorites to serve alongside these ribs are Garlic Roasted Mashed Potatoes, Skillet Cornbread, Southern Green Beans.
Why Make These Country-Style Ribs
Slow cooking your ribs makes the meat fall off the bone and melts in your mouth like my Slow Cooker Asian Beef Short Ribs or my Beef Braised Short Ribs.
The whole family will love this one, and the leftovers the next day are equally delicious. Beef ribs and gravy are classic comfort food, perfect for warming you up on a chilly day or providing a satisfying meal after a long day.
Ingredients
- Country style beef ribs: Boneless ribs for boneless country-style beef ribs, or stick to regular bone-in ribs, whatever your personal preference is.
- Onion: A large white or yellow onion.
- Cherry Coke: Other options to try are below in the FAQ section
- Herbs and Spices: Bay leaves and smashed garlic cloves
- Worcestershire sauce:
- Onion gravy mix: This adds flavor but also thickens the gravy. You could try brown gravy instead.
- Beef broth: Low sodium is always best.
How to Make Country Style Beef Ribs and Gravy
- Toss all your ingredients in a large Dutch oven deep-style baking dish or casserole dish. Place the lid on and cook.
- Remove the lid and cook uncovered for the last bit of time and get ready to dig in!
Recipe Tips
- I used boneless beef ribs, if you're using bone-in or swapping to a different cut of meat, you may need to adjust the cooking time.
- You can alter the flavor profile of this original recipe easily by not just changing the soda, but trying different herbs and spices, like onion powder, garlic powder, fresh thyme, rosemary or parsley.
Recipe Faq's
Country-style ribs are boneless and they're actually not even from the ribs! They're cut from a chuck eye steak
and they're cut so they look like rib meat.
If you don't have Cherry Coke, don't like it, or can't get a hold of it- you can swap it out for a regular Coke, Dr Pepper, or Root Beer. This may change the flavor a bit, but as long as you like the taste of the new soda option, any of these would make an excellent choice

Certainly, dump all the ingredients in the Crock Pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or speed it up and cook on high for 3-4 hours. Check on Slow Cooker Country Style Ribs during the last hour of cooking to ensure you don't dry them out.

Country Style Beef Ribs and Gravy

- 3 pounds country style beef ribs *see notes
- 1 Large onion
- 1 12 ounce can of cherry coke *see notes
- 3 Bay Leaves
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 package onion gravy
- 1 cup beef broth low sodium
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees
- In a dutch oven or deep baking dish add all the ingredients into the pot and cover.
- Bake for 2 ½ hours, remove the lid and baker another 30 minutes.
- Remove the Bay leaves and serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
